Lessons Terms & Conditions
1. PLACE, PRICE AND DURATION OF LESSONS
Lessons take place online via Discord and a virtual whiteboard at a time agreed in advance. The standard lesson length is 50 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged where appropriate. Fees are agreed individually before the start of the cooperation.
2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
To take part in the lessons, the student needs a computer or tablet with internet access, access to voice communication, and basic materials for note-taking. A graphic tablet or a tablet with a stylus can be helpful, but it is not required.
3. POST-LESSON MATERIALS
After each lesson, the student receives a PDF summary of the material covered. Lessons may also be recorded on request. All materials provided as part of the lessons are intended solely for the student’s personal use and may not be shared with third parties without the tutor’s consent.
4. LATENESS AND ABSENCE
If a student is late, the lesson is not automatically extended. A delay of more than 15 minutes may be treated as an absence or a late cancellation, in line with the lesson cancellation and rescheduling policy. If the tutor is late, the lost time will be made up or otherwise compensated in an agreed manner.
5. CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING OF LESSONS
Lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge until 8:00 pm on the day before the scheduled lesson. Cancellations made after that time, as well as absences without prior notice, are charged in full. In such cases, the lesson may be rearranged for another date, but it is treated as an additional paid lesson.
The same rule applies to the tutor. If the tutor cancels a lesson after that deadline or fails to attend without prior notice, the replacement lesson is provided free of charge.
6. NUMBER OF LESSONS PER MONTH
The number of lessons in a given month corresponds to the number of times the agreed lesson day falls within that month (for example, 4 Thursdays in a month = 4 lessons in that month). If a lesson is cancelled in accordance with section 5, it should be made up on another agreed date. This rule does not apply during longer school holiday periods, such as public holidays, winter break, or summer holidays. Individual days off from school do not affect the regular lesson schedule.
7. PAYMENTS AND INVOICES
Payment for the first lesson must be made in advance, no later than the day before the lesson. If payment has not been received, the tutor reserves the right not to conduct the lesson.
If lessons continue on a regular basis, payment for individual lessons is made monthly in advance for the full month. If the student decides to discontinue the lessons, the arrangement ends on the date of the last prepaid lesson. Invoices are available on request.
Payments should be made to the following bank account:
mBank
PL36 1140 2004 0000 3102 8119 8592
Account holder: Jakub Matuszczyk
Payment reference: the month or date of the lesson(s) being paid for, and the surname of the parent or guardian.
8. BREACH OF THE LESSONS POLICY
In the event of a serious breach of the terms of cooperation, persistent disruption of the lessons, or any violation of these Terms and Conditions, the tutor reserves the right to terminate the arrangement with immediate effect. In such a case, any overpayment for lessons not yet delivered will be refunded after taking into account any previously granted discounts.
